| What we know about Afghanistan is dominated by images from the evening news. However, that is only a part of the story and there is tremendous change and hope that is mixed with the struggles the country faces daily. Our discussion will provide a broader context to what is going on in Afghanistan and we’ll also examine some of the strategies to alleviate poverty and hopefully bring peace to this region… including the impact of literacy program. Please join us for this fascinating discussion about a relatively unknown part of the world. |

| Research has shown that children who attend Read to a Dog programs can experience a decrease in stress over reading aloud in class.
