This event is free of charge. - Overview of what opioids are, and how they work biologically. - Signs and symptoms of an overdose. - What to do if you suspect an overdose. - Explanation of Naloxone, and where to access kits. Followed by a half-hour of optional Naloxone training for those interested. Presented in partnership by: Chinook Arch Regional Library System, Arches, Taber Public Library and Alberta Rural Development Network.

Oct 18    Recycling Explained
Earlier this year we learned that many Canadians are recycling wrong and that we are throwing too much garbage in our recycling. The Town of Taber’s Public Works department will explain our local recycling program, as well as share some tips and tricks on how to get the most out of our blue and green bins, while explaining how Taber's recycling program works.

Research has shown that children who attend Read to a Dog programs can experience a decrease in stress over reading aloud in class.
